Maintaining Emergency Exit Lighting

When to Test

Like most emergency systems, your exit and emergency lights must be tested regularly to ensure that they will work in the event of an emergency. At Eagle Fire Protection, we follow the government standards to do six-month and annual tests. This lets you be prepared in an emergency.

What to Expect

Eagle Fire Protection's exit and emergency lighting tests last for the full duration that the emergency lights are rated for, such as 90 minutes. The lights must continue to work at the end of this test, or else they will require servicing or replacement. Tell us if it's time for your emergency lights to be tested.

Post Emergency Exit Lighting Testing

When the test is done, Eagle Fire Protection will document the results, give you a copy and post the results near your evacuation plans. If any part of the system fails during the test, we will fix it as soon as possible to ensure that your exit and emergency lights are functioning properly.
